Cutxi began during Rita’s first pregnancy, from the wish to find personal, special pieces for Leonor’s arrival.
That wish grew into a personalised-gift brand that now accompanies important moments for many families in Portugal.
It all started with Leonor.
During her first pregnancy, Rita looked for nursery and baby pieces that felt original, beautiful and made to last. When she could not find what she had in mind, she decided to create them herself.
Trained as a designer, she turned a love of making into something bigger. Along the way came jobs, unemployment and fresh starts. In 2017, she decided to dedicate herself fully to Cutxi and her family.
Since then, the brand has moved premises four times. The team grew, the ideas grew, and the attention to every detail stayed.
This is where ideas take shape.
At the Cutxi atelier, every piece passes through real hands: it is thought through, personalised, checked and packed with care.
It is a team effort made of choices and small details — from the name added to a piece to the way the order reaches the person receiving it.
We are people creating for people.
We grow with families.
Some customers have been with us since the beginning. We have followed babies who were born, christened, started school and later reached graduation milestones.
Behind every order there is a name, a person and a story. That closeness is what gives meaning to what we do.
